Since 1997, Caritas Goa has been actively involved in projects dedicated to serving prisoners. We recognize the importance of providing support, rehabilitation, and a chance for transformation to those who are incarcerated. Here’s how our projects are making a difference:
Rehabilitation and Reintegration: Our projects focus on the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners into society. We provide counseling, vocational training, and educational programs that equip them with valuable skills and knowledge. By promoting personal growth and development, we aim to empower prisoners to lead productive and fulfilling lives upon their release.
Psychological and Emotional Support: We understand the emotional challenges faced by prisoners and the impact it can have on their well-being. Our dedicated team offers psychological and emotional support through counseling and therapy sessions. We create a safe and supportive environment where prisoners can express their feelings, address past traumas, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Legal Aid and Advocacy: We believe in upholding the rights and dignity of every individual, including prisoners. Our projects provide legal aid and advocacy support to ensure fair treatment and access to justice.
